Come on Girls, let’s run for Breast Cancer!

Getting outdoors and being active is a great way to reenergise your spirit, meet and mingle with new and old friends and enjoy what nature has to offer us…

So Sydney siders, I am holding a social run and breakfast!

I emphasise ‘social’ as you don’t have to be a runner to get involved! Walk, Jog or even just join us for breakfast 🙂 It is all in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation who are working towards achieving their goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030!

I need to confirm numbers by July 20th. If you know of friends, family or work colleagues who would be interested in getting involved please pass the link on to them by ‘sharing it’ through the link below on Facebook or Twitter.

Please RSVP either on the ‘Contact Me’ page above or by commenting on this blog post.

Come on girls, let’s get as many people as possible to unite in celebrating our health, wellbeing and fitness all in the spirit of a very worthy cause!

Please visit the Fundraising page to make your small donation and reserve your spot 🙂

Birthday Brunch

Today is my birthday!

And what a special day it has been.  I have been spoilt rotten with love, messages and a few special gifts (Including this GPS-enabled sport watch from Josh, YAY!!)

and an Ipod-shuffle with a special engraving 🙂

I spent the rest of the morning with my mum and sister.  Brunch was on the menu @ The Armchair Collective in Mona Vale – first time here and I will definitely be going back.

Such an awesome place with beautiful furniture, fresh flowers and a warm and cosy vibe.

Did I mention the delicious food??

I had the oat and buttermilk pancakes, with caramelised banana, ricotta and berries. Wow..

And my sister had the oats which was thick, creamy and wholesome.
How cute is the the milk bottle. We wanted to take it home with us!

We then took a stroll and enjoyed the super fresh air… luckily I was wearing my gloves

Thanks Mum and Umz for making my morning so special! Nothing beats quality mum and daughter time.

So.. a moment of reflection concludes that 23 was a good year and 24 hasn’t started off too badly itself 😉

Happy Wednesday, friends!!

Twilight walk gets the heart racing

After a lazy day of studying a twilight walk was the perfect way to wrap it up.

My sister and I headed out on one of our regular loops, which is affectionately known to us as ‘The Cliff Walk’.

The story goes like this.  About 7 years ago my animal-loving dad arrived home with an injured blue and white love bird. Whilst, on his walk he had spotted larger birds attacking this little helpless love bird.  He rescued it and brought it home in his jacket.  We put up posters up for a missing bird, but he was never claimed.

Today, ‘Cliff’ is very much alive and well, happily chirping away!

It is such a beautiful walk. The cliff itself,  is quite a climb and really gets the heart rate up!

Lesson of the day: When you are feeling cosy and rugged up, and have not moved from your seat all day – a sister like mine is what you need to motivate you to brave the cold and get outside!

Thanks Umz it was well worth it 🙂

What or who motivates you to get moving?

…don’t forget to smile,  it’s Wednesday!
Happy hump day 🙂
